There were some spooky goings on over the weekend of 12/13th October at Central Gymnastics Academy. 19 of our gymnasts from the Competition team and Advanced class headed over to Stirling for CGA’s annual Festival of Fright. It is always a fun experience to join Chris (aka Beetlejuice) and his team for a very well organised competition in some creepy surroundings with an abundance of Halloween themed decorations to scare us all.
This was the first competition for many of our Advanced class gymnasts and the work they have put in to learning their routines and vaults paid off as they displayed beautiful gymnastics. It allowed the gymnasts to experience the world of competitive gymnastics and meet gymnasts from other clubs across Scotland in friendly and fun environment.
Many medals were won across the team with 2 overall champions in 12/13 (Bella) & 14+ (Charlotte) Beginners category and 12/13 Team Champions.
Special mention to 3 of our members who won best costume. Nadia for Super Mario, Helena for Beetlejuice and Coach Fiona for Morticia Addams.
Well done to gymnasts and coaches!
